WWE legend and Knox County, Tennessee, Mayor Glenn Jacobs challenged Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) to a charity wrestling match after the failed vice presidential candidate said he “could kick most of their ass” while referring to Trump supporters.
Walz claimed earlier this week on the This is Gavin Newsom podcast that his “masculinity” intimidates Trump supporters.
“All joking aside, @GovTimWalz, let’s put our money where our mouth is … in a charity wrestling match. We’ll split the gate 50/50 between our chosen organizations,” Jacobs, known to WWE fans as the former world champion Kane, posted to X.
“I’ll kick things off myself with a $10,000 donation. What do you say?”

Walz’s comments represent a phony narrative of toughness that Democrats are trying to push, according to Jacobs.
“He’s not for real, and that’s the issue,” the mayor said during a recent interview with Newsmax. “I think there’s a memo that’s gone out among the Democrat Party that, ‘We have to appear tough, and we have to appear masculine.’”

“But you’re not a character on TV. You can’t just change your personality,” he said.
President Donald Trump responded to Walz directly Friday and said Walz would be “in trouble” if he ever fought a MAGA supporter.

“Well, he’s a loser,” the president said. “The guy is a loser. He lost an election. He played a part. You know, usually, a vice president doesn’t play a part.”
“I think Tim played a part. I think he was so bad that he hurt her. But she hurt herself, and Joe hurt them both. They didn’t have a great group, but I would probably put him at the bottom of the group,” he said.
Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) volunteered Friday to host the charity wrestling match if Walz accepted Jacobs’s challenge.

“Florida can serve as the neutral site host,” DeSantis posted to X. “We’ve got a lot of great spots and a lot of wrestling fans.”
