Wisconsin voters approved a law that added an amendment to the state constitution requiring voters to show photo identification before casting a vote in an election. 

The proposed amendment was on the ballot in Tuesday’s election and received 482,591 votes in support, or 60.3% of the vote, according to reports. Conversely, 318,236 people, or 39.7% of the vote, were against the amendment.
