At Tameron Woods, the honeymoon never ends

“We wanted to start fresh with something we hadn’t shared with anyone else,” Robin said. “We looked at a lot of neighborhoods, but we just absolutely loved it here.”

Here is Tameron Woods, a community of 57 single-family homes in northwest Baltimore County. Four, five, and six-bedroom homes with 3.5 to five-bathrooms, the development captured the Covingtons — and others — right away.

“You have such a sense of arrival when you get here,” said Phil Edwards, sales manager for Grayson Homes. “We very consistently hear from people in our model about how elegant our homes are. People can sit comfortably in a two-story space without feeling overwhelmed.”

Two-story family rooms and two-story foyers are prevalent in the two-story colonials, which can be highly customized. Some offer master suites on the first floor, and all have either a library or sitting room on the main level.

Sunrooms, decks, and upgrades like granite countertops and high-end kitchen cabinets also are available, as are finished basements with a media room.

“We have a basement that is finished that looks like a banquet hall, it’s so big,” Robin Covington said.

The homes are set on a quarter to a third of an acre lots. Part of the neighborhood abuts a conservation area, while most of the houses back up to mature trees or open space.

“We wanted to make it very neighbor-friendly,” Edwards said. “It’s pedestrian-friendly, because we have sidewalks. It really makes for a much nicer setting than if we had just built these homes in a field somewhere.”

The Covingtons moved in during April, just a few months before their first anniversary.

“We went to a social they had to introduce potential buyers to some of the residents,” Robin said. “Everyone was so nice. I’d never had a sense of community before. I lived in places where the neighbors didn’t talk to each other. It feels so good, it’s such a warm, healthy environment. This was exactly what we were looking for. We couldn’t ask for anything more.”
