Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy revealed that there will be an announcement for the nation’s air traffic control system this Thursday, which he argued is a long time in the making.
Duffy’s tease comes after air traffic controllers at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey lost communication with planes briefly. This airport also saw almost 500 delays and 141 cancellations on Sunday, which officials have stated staffing problems and technical challenges were to blame.
