High school science teacher fired after refusing to wear mask

A Florida high school science teacher was fired Tuesday for not complying with his school district’s mask mandate.

John Alvarez was dismissed from his teaching position at Piper High School after the School Board of Broward County unanimously voted for his termination, citing gross insubordination.
