Dave Brat made national headlines earlier this month when he unseated incumbent House Majority Leader Eric Cantor. Brat’s defeat of Cantor in Virginia’s 7th congressional district surprised everyone outside of Brat’s camp. Now Brat will turn his sights to a November election in a decidedly Republican district.
