A gift from the Hall of Fame pitcher has security guards at the D.C. federal courthouse under fire. After being escorted by a team security guards, Clemens repaid their efforts by giving them as many as six autographed baseballs, as first reported by the Washington Post. But guards are banned from accepting gifts from a criminal defendant, including Clemens who was on trial for allegedly lying to Congress about his use of performance-enhancing drugs. An investigation into the gifts is now underway.
