‘Don’t make me get my leash’: Cardi B retaliates after Tomi Lahren tweets about ICE arresting 21 Savage

Rapper Cardi B and Fox Nation host Tomi Lahren got into another Twitter dust-up over a joke made at the expense of rapper 21 Savage, who was arrested on Sunday by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

“I got one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight ICE agents ready to deport ya,” Lahren tweeted in a play on words of a popular 21 Savage song to make light of the rapper’s possible deportation. ICE says 21 Savage’s visa expired more than a decade ago.

“Don’t make me get my leash,” Cardi B tweeted Monday in response. The tweet was a callback to a threat of physical violence called a “dog walk” she made to Lahren in January when Lahren criticized Cardi B’s comments on the partial government shutdown.

After mockingly calling Cardi B’s tweet “very original,” Lahren sought to redirect the conversation back to immigration reform.

“Here’s something maybe we can agree on, our immigration system is broken. We need to keep our country safe while also making sure people who work hard, contribute and don’t leech off the system are able to LEGALLY immigrate here. I’m a fan of @21savage and I’m a fan of yours,” Lahren wrote.

The self-professed fan of 21 Savage shared a video last month of herself lipsyncing to his song “Bank Account,” the same song she parodied for her tweet.

Nicki Minaj, another rapper, jumped into the fray, calling Lahren a “fkn clown.”

“Your obsession w/our culture is scary to say the least. I hate giving you the attention you so desperately crave. Laughing @ ppl getting deported as if your ancestors discovered America. Are you Native American? You fkn clown,” Minaj tweeted.

Lahren responded to Minaj with another tweet about immigration, insisting that she hoped 21 Savage would get an entertainment visa soon and continue to be a part of the pop culture scene in the U.S.

“When you’re in the country illegally, you get deported. I didn’t write the law and neither did ICE. They enforce it. I hope @21savage is able to get an entertainment visa or become a citizen one day. P.S. My ancestors did discover America,” Lahren wrote.

Lahren did not clarify who she meant by her ancestors and the discovery of “America.”
