Word of Donald Trump Jr.’s engagement to former Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle created buzz across social media Monday evening.
Guilfoyle posted a photo on Instagram of her standing with Trump while celebrating his birthday at former President Donald Trump’s New Year’s Eve gala on Friday. In the photo, she can be seen wearing an almost eight-carat diamond engagement ring.
“Tonight was extra special celebrating @donaldjtrumpjr’s birthday,” Guilfoyle wrote in her Instagram post. “Don, you are strong, smart, courageous, funny and the love of my life. I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together. Love you.”
The couple began dating in 2018 and got engaged on New Year’s Eve 2020 but had kept their engagement a secret for the last year, according to sources who spoke to the Daily Mail.
Wedding plans have not yet been revealed.
The news may come as a disappointment to some around Washington, D.C. Last week, the Washington Examiner asked people if they would rather date Donald Trump Jr. or Hunter Biden.

In 2020, former President Donald Trump chose Guilfoyle to head up a joint fundraising effort between his reelection campaign and the Republican National Committee.

Both Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle have children from previous marriages.
The Daily Mail reported that the couple has plans to live in Jupiter, Florida, after offloading Guilfoyle’s New York City apartment for nearly $4.5 million and their $8.1 million home in the Hamptons.
