President Trump blamed the “Mainstream Fake Media” for their coverage of former President Obama’s handling of illegal immigrants at the southern border.

“Drudge Report ‘OBAMA KEPT THEM IN CAGES, WRAPPED THEM IN FOIL’ We do a much better job while at the same time maintaining a MUCH stronger Border!” Trump tweeted Saturday morning, hinting at abuse allegations of illegal immigrants at detention centers under the Obama administration.

Mainstream outlets including the Associated Press and Time magazine have recently come under scrutiny for their inaccurate or misleading coverage of illegal immigrant family separation at the southern border.
As many have pointed out during the national outrage on family separation, the Obama administration has been accused of abuse and neglect of minors at detention center for illegal immigrants as well as expanding the number of these centers at the border. Former Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson even admitted that their policies were “controversial” in this regard.
