DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — The ridesharing service Uber is expected to begin operating in Des Moines on Friday despite warnings that the company will be violating city ordinances.
Uber, which is based in San Francisco and operates in more than 100 U.S. cities, uses smartphone applications to link motorists and people who pay for rides.
