The Senate Finance Committee’s version of the Republican tax and spending megabill includes language to prohibit federal Medicaid funding for abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, a significant win for the anti-abortion movement.

The abortion provider provision in the Medicaid section of the bill text for the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, released Monday evening by Senate Finance Committee Chairman Mike Crapo (R-ID), mirrors the language of the House bill that was passed last month.
