Pelosi on Oval Office argument: Get into a ‘tinkle contest with a skunk,’ get ‘tinkle’ all over you

Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., likened the Oval Office spat Tuesday between Trump and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., to a “tinkle fight,” according to reports.

The Oval Office meeting turned heated when Trump and Schumer argued over border wall funding. Trump told Schumer that he’d take the blame for shutting down the government if he didn’t get what he wanted regarding the funding needed to finish the border wall for the U.S.’ southern border.

“It’s like a manhood thing for him,” Pelosi said, the New York Daily News reported an aide in the room recounted. “As if manhood could ever be associated with him. I was trying to be the mom. I can’t explain it to you. It was so wild. It goes to show you: You get into a tinkle contest with a skunk, you get tinkle all over you.”

When Pelosi and Trump exchanged thoughts on the wall and how voting would turn out, Trump was adamant that he would have the votes in the House, but insisted House votes were a nonstarter if he couldn’t get the senators needed to pass the budget. Pelosi repeatedly tried to tell him that he didn’t have the votes in the House.

“We need border security. That is what we are talking about border security,” Trump said. “I am proud to shut down the government for border security.”
