After the tragic shooting that claimed the life of Jennifer Hudson’s mother and brother, the Oscar winner’s sister is pleading for the safe return of her 7-year-old son, Julian King.
“I don’t care who you are, just let the baby go,” Julia Hudson said at a press conference Saturday. “I just want my son. He don’t deserve this.”
“He’s out there. Just let him go,” she said, then added to Julian, “I love you. Mama’s looking for you.”
Darnell Donerson and Jason Hudson, the mother and sibling of the actress, were shot in their Chicago home Friday, when Julian disappeared. Julia’s estranged husband, William Balfour, was named as a suspect that same day.
Jennifer said her sister “was screaming” and “flew in right away” upon hearing the awful news. The singer-actress is said to have been extremely close to her mother.
Our hearts and condolences go out to the Hudson family and their loved ones, and we hope and pray for Julian’s safe return.
Benji: Faithful
Despite tabloid rumors that he cheated, Benji Madden wants the world to know he’s been faithful to Paris Hilton. No, seriously, he really, really wants the world to know.
“Paris is the love of my life,” the Good Charlotte rocker declared to Life & Style. “She’s the most beautiful woman in the world. These rumors are not only hurtful but completely false and absurd. I am disgusted that people would make up such malicious lies. She is my life, my heart and my soul, and is the most important thing in my life. No one exists but her. I am the most loyal guy in the world and would never even look at anyone else.” OK, OK, we get the point!
For her part, the celebutante asserted proudly, “Benji and I have an amazing relationship and I trust him with my life. I don’t ever believe rumors regarding my love. I know he would never hurt me, and he knows the same about me.”
Funny — we would have assumed Paris would be the one denying cheating rumors, not the other way around.
Carrie: Diplomatic
Carrie Underwood insists there’s no feud between her and ex-beau Tony Romo’s current girlfriend, Jessica Simpson.
“I met her once and she seemed really nice, so I don’t have a feud with anybody,” the country singer told reporters at the unveiling of her wax likeness at Madame Tussaud’s.
And she isn’t threatened by the former teen pop star reinventing herself as a country artist: “I think it’s great that country music just seems to be opening their arms to people that want to be a part of it,” the former “American Idol” winner said.
As for her relationship with her ex, it’s not exactly frosty, but it’s not too warm either.
“I generally have been friends with ex-boyfriends. Sometimes the whole media thing adds, well not sometimes, every time it adds a little obstacle,” Carrie confessed. “But before all this, everybody I had ever dated I was friends with.”
In other words, there’s no beef — but Tony shouldn’t expect a Christmas card from Carrie this year.
Miley: LIKE, dating?
Miley Cyrus, 15, has been sighted repeatedly with Justin Gaston, 20, inviting assumptions that they’re a couple. But the “Hannah Montana” star is coy about their romantic status, telling Ryan Seacrest on his radio show that “he’s been a really great friend more than anything.”
OK, but are they a couple? “Maybe, maybe not,” the tween icon said. “Right now, everything is, like, really good. I haven’t really been answering the question much just because we’re just really happy with everything and the way everything has worked out.”
So if they do get together, would dad Billy Ray Cyrus, who has worked with aspiring country artist Justin, approve?
“My family’s like, whatever happens, happens,” Miley said.
If that’s really the case, we have three words for Miley’s parents: Jamie Lynn Spears.
