First lady Melania Trump thanked first responders who were at the GOP’s baseball practice Wednesday where a shooter opened fire, injuring five people including Majority Whip Steve Scalise.

A shooter with a rifle fired as many as 50 rounds at Republicans during an early morning practice held in Alexandria, Va.
Scalise was shot in the hip, but his office said he was in “good spirits.”
Others, including two policemen and several congressional aides, were also injured.
Alexandria police said the suspect was taken into custody. However, the shooter’s identity hasn’t yet been released.
