NEW ULM, Minn. (AP) — The New Ulm Kraft Foods plant will lose an estimated 90 jobs under a restructuring plan that takes effect next year.
Company officials say the move could result in the loss of 80 fulltime hourly positions and 10 salaried positions.
A Kraft representative tells The Free Press of Mankato (http://bit.ly/VtPL1K) it will be another few months before the company how many employees are affected.
The move includes a $25 million investment in new equipment and infrastructure at the New Ulm plant.
Kraft has been in New Ulm since 1955 and employs 555 people at the plant.
