The Gender Development Program at Children’s National Hospital will discontinue its gender-affirming medication prescription program for transgender minors and no longer offer transition services.
An announcement was made on the program’s website on Monday. The change will go into effect on Aug. 30, according to a statement on the hospital’s webpage for the program.
