Two recent polls released in Kentucky show the Senate race between incumbent Sen. Mitch McConnell and Democratic challenger Alison Lundergan Grimes tightening in the final month.
On Monday, a Bluegrass poll showed Grimes with a two-point advantage over McConnell, 46 to 44 percent. Those numbers are within the poll’s margin of error, however they represent a positive swing for Democrats in recent weeks.
Over the weekend, a New York Times/CBS/Yougov poll showed McConnell holding a six-point lead over Grimes, 47 to 41 percent.
The race in Kentucky could determine control of the Senate as Republicans look to gain six seats to control the upper chamber.
