QAnon endorser Marjorie Taylor Greene will be attending a campaign event with Sen. Kelly Loeffler.
A Wednesday press release announced that the two would be appearing together in an event on Thursday in Paulding County, Georgia.
“Tomorrow, conservative businesswoman and political outsider Kelly Loeffler will be joined by future Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene for a major announcement in Paulding County,” the statement read.
Greene is running to represent the state’s 14th congressional district. Her Democratic challenger announced in September that he would be dropping out of the race, leaving it a near-certainty that Greene would secure the seat.
Greene has endorsed the QAnon conspiracy, which alleges, among other things, that a group of powerful politicians have been using their positions to set up a secret child sex trafficking ring.
Georgia’s Senate special election has Democrat Raphael Warnock leading the pack. Right behind him, however, are Republicans Sen. Loeffler and Rep. Doug Collins. If none of the candidates are able to secure a majority of the vote on Nov. 3, the top two candidates, regardless of party, will compete in a separate election.
Greene’s expected endorsement would be the latest move in the drama that’s been the competition between the two GOP candidates.
Both Loeffler and Collins have endorsed Greene, and although neither has directly endorsed QAnon, Collins joined many other House Republicans in not voting on a House resolution which condemned the movement.
