President Trump declared Friday morning that it is his hope to get “just about” all of the information in the files related to the assassination of JFK released to the public, after about 1 percent were withheld on Thursday during the release of 2,800 documents.
“JFK Files are being carefully released. In the end there will be great transparency. It is my hope to get just about everything to public,” Trump tweeted Friday morning.

The National Archives only partially released the files related to John F. Kennedy’s assassination, which the White House said was a result of Trump granting agencies additional time to seek reactions.
Trump granted the waiver in response to concern from multiple agencies about releasing sensitive information, specifically relating to the use of sources and cooperation with other countries, senior administration officials said during a White House background call Thursday night.
