When the Oscars decided to expand the Best Picture category a few years back, that meant upping the ante for film buffs who want to try to see all the nominees before the big show. Well for those of you who have waited until the last minute, you are in luck.
This weeked, AMC theaters across the country are putting on the Best Picture Show, a two-day event where all of the Oscar-nominated films are shown. All nine movies will be shown on the big screen (even those already out on DVD). So if you can stand hours and hours of movies in one sitting, you are in luck.
The movies shown on Saturday will be “War Horse,” “Moneyball,” “Tree of Life,” and “The Descendants,” and Sunday will showcase “Hugo,” “The Help,” “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close,” “The Artist,” and “Midnight in Paris.” Attendees will get a $5 gift card for concessions and a commemorate poster.
