Gaithersburg-based biotechnology company MedImmune has named interim President Tony Zook as president, the company announced this week.
MedImmune is a subsidiary of AstraZeneca, and Zook headed the parent company’s U.S. and Canadian businesses, as well as its Global Marketing organization.
Anne Arundel starts local business campaign
The Annapolis & Anne Arundel Conference and Visitors Bureau has started a marketing campaign to encourage area residents to support local businesses during the holiday season.
The campaign will use Internet marketing, 500 radio spots on Mix 105.5-FM, and an event at Westfield Annapolis Mall on Friday, Nov. 28 to highlight shopping, dining and family-friendly events around the county. Special offers by partner members will be listed on the bureau’s Web site at www.VisitAnnapolis.org.
Local named one of nation’s best financial advisers for doctors
Jonathan Dinkins of Owings Mills-based wealth management firm Glass Jacobson has been named one of the “150 Best Financial Advisers for Doctors,” by trade publication Medical Economics, the firm announced.
Named in the magazine’s Nov. 7 issue, the list of 150 is narrowed from more than 500 nominees generated in a six-month nationwide search.
