‘SNL’: The ‘hunt’ for an elusive post-election Hillary Clinton

Two mystery hunters embarked on a mission in Westchester County, N.Y., on “Saturday Night Live” to search for “the most elusive legend of all”: Hillary Clinton.

The two investigators, Rafe Degraw (Beck Bennett) and Coop Dixon (Kyle Mooney), began their search by speaking with an eyewitness who said she thought she saw Clinton (Kate McKinnon) walking through the woods. The digital short echoes real-life reports of the first public sighting of Clinton following her election loss to Donald Trump, when two days later a hiker in Chappaqua ran into Clinton while on a walk in the woods, and snapped a picture with her.

Clinton has remained remained largely outside of the public eye since losing the election on Nov. 8, save for a few run-ins with strangers, resulting in pictures being posted to Facebook, and a sprinkling of public speeches.

Moving into the woods, the hunters searched for footprints, attempted to communicate with Clinton by mimicking her laugh like a bird-call, and tried to bait her out with a newspaper article about the Wisconsin recount.

Finally, the investigators turned to a man, who has lived in the Chappaqua woods his entire life, to use his magic powers to conjure up Clinton’s current location.

“She’s buying eggs at a grocery store,” said the man, played by Kenan Thompson.

Next week on “The Hunt for Hill,” the hunters said their search will continue at a ShopRite.
