Donald Trump Jr. shares debunked conspiracy theory post about Paul Pelosi attack


Donald Trump Jr. shared a post mocking the Friday attack on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi‘s husband Paul Pelosi.

The post that Trump Jr. tweeted showed a picture of underwear and a hammer with the caption, “Got my Paul Pelosi Halloween costume ready.”

“The internet remains undefeated … Also if you switch out the hammer for a red feather boa you could be Hunter Biden in an instant,” Trump wrote in response to the costume idea.

Trump also tweeted about the attack on Saturday, saying, “Imagine how safe the country would be if democrats took all violent crime as seriously as they’re taking the Paul Pelosi situation. They simply don’t care about you.”

Other Republicans condemned the attack, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Rep. Rodney Davis, and former Vice President Mike Pence, who called the attack “an outrage.”

Paul Pelosi, 82, was assaulted in his San Francisco home early Friday by an intruder who was reportedly looking for the speaker, who was not in California at the time. Pelosi was hospitalized from his injuries but is expected to make a full recovery, with his wife saying she and her family were “heartbroken and traumatized” by the attack.
