Charlotte Pence bought John Oliver’s spoof Marlon Bundo book: Report

Second daughter Charlotte Pence says she purchased John Oliver’s parody of the book she authored about the Pence family pet rabbit, according to a report Wednesday.

“I have bought his book,” Pence told the Hill.

Pence, author of Marlon Bundo’s A Day in the Life of the Vice President, said she could “get behind” the spoof book because, like the original, the proceeds are also going to charity.

“I also want to support those charities — I really mean that, ” Pence told the Hill.

On his show Sunday night highlighting Mike Pence’s “hostility to LGBT rights,” John Oliver unveiled his own A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo to coincide with the release of the official book by second lady Karen Pence and daughter Charlotte.

Pence told the HIll that she hopes her book teaches young children the duties of the vice president.

When asked how she deals with criticism of her father, Pence told the publication that her parents taught her to respect freedom, which is what individuals are expressing when they disagree with her family.

“At the end of the day, he’s still my dad, and my opinion of him is going to be good because I know him and I know his heart,” she added.
