It seems as if former Republican Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Democratic Minnesota Sen. Al Franken already have a very close relationship.
During Perry’s confirmation hearing for the secretary of energy post Thursday, Franken asked Perry if he enjoyed their meeting in his office.
“I hope you are as much fun on that dais as you were on your couch,” Perry responded.
Perry then cringed as the gallery laughed, and he asked if he could rephrase his response.
“I think we found our Saturday Night Live sound bite,” Perry said.
