Report: RNC suspending pro-Trump campaign

The Republican National Committee is suspending its mailing efforts to help Donald Trump get elected, according to a new report.

An RNC staffer emailed “a victory program mail vendor” on Saturday, telling them to “put a hold/stop on all mail projects right now,” according to Politico.

“If something is in production or print it needs to stop. Will update you when to proceed,” the letter, reportedly from RNC staffer Lauren Toomey, according to the report.

RNC spokesman Sean Spicer did not immediately return a request for comment from the Washington Examiner.

The Politico report comes as the Trump campaign is engulfed in a controversy regarding a resurfaced video that showed him in 2005 making vulgar comments about women.
