The Carroll School Board is seeking applicants for the seat vacated by Thomas Hiltz, who resigned recently. The new member will complete Hiltz?s term, which will end the first Monday of December 2008.
Those interested should send a letter of interest, resume and a statement on why he or she should be a board member to Gary Bauer, President, Board of Education of Carroll County, 125 N. Court St., Westminster 21157. The deadline is April 27.
The School Board will submit its candidates to the governor, who makes the final decision, on or around May 10.
