Be prepared for crowded Metro railcars and platforms this afternoon.
The agency says it’s expecting a busy Wednesday, with a rally at the Capitol, a Washington Nationals game, cherry blossom visitors and a Wizards game on the docket.
Metro is warning riders that they may see more crowds on trains and platforms this afternoon. The agency recommends riders avoid Capitol South, Stadium-Armory, L’Enfant Plaza and Smithsonian stations.
Gallery Place and Navy Yard are also expected to see many riders before their games start at 7 p.m. and after the games end.
Metro is planning to use more eight-car trains than normal to accommodate the crowds.
