Baltimore County ofPublic Works is warning residents to bag raked leaves. Leaving them in piles or raking them into the gutter may be illegal and dangerous.
The county said in a written statement that blowing leaves into the streets or not bagging them properly could be a danger to children, and harm the Chesepeake Bay.
Residents who wish to have leaves disposed of by the county are urged to bag them and place them outside for collection along with normal trash.
