Jill Biden called the women who accused her husband of inappropriately touching them courageous and vowed that the former vice president would not touch people without their permission in the future.
“It took a lot of courage for women to step forward and say, you know, ‘You’re in my space,’” she told “The Daily Show” Wednesday.
“Joe heard that and it just won’t happen again. He heard what they were saying,” she said.

Eight women have accused the former vice president of unwanted touching. In response to the allegations, Biden said he would be “more mindful about respecting personal space.”
Days later he joked about the allegations during a speech in Washington, D.C. “He gave me permission to touch him,” Biden said after hugging a young boy.
During a campaign event Tuesday in Texas, Biden told a 10-year-old girl she was “as bright as you’re good-looking.” He then took the girl by the hand and introduced her to the press while his hands were on her shoulders.
Jill Biden did not address her husband’s actions toward the 10-year-old girl.
