The national average price for regular gas decreased on Tuesday, dropping to $3.121 per gallon.

Tuesday’s pricing is a slight decrease from Monday, when the national average was $3.133 per gallon. The drop in fuel cost also marked a nearly 3-cent decrease from a week ago, when the national average for regular gas was $3.15 per gallon and over 7 cents from a month ago, when the average was $3.197, according to AAA. The national average for a gallon of regular gas has remained steady for essentially all of 2025, typically falling between $3.12 and $3.21 since January.
