A Frostburg State University student from Glen Burnie is accused of shooting two school basketball players, one of them fatally.
Tyrone Hall, 21, was charged with first-degree murder and first-degree attempted murder. Police said he fatally shot Brandon Carroll, 20, of Waldorf, and wounded Ellis Hartridge Jr., of Washington, after the two men followed him home from an off-campus party. Police said the men confronted Hall over an altercation with a woman. Hall said he shot the men after they lunged at him, police said.
Carroll and Hartridge both played for the school’s basketball team.
