Baltimore City-based Merritt Properties is building a $15 million, 57,000-square-foot defense training facility in the Beaumeade Corporate Park in Ashburn, Va.
The facility, expected to be completed in November, will house 25- and 50-yard shooting ranges, a 22,000-square-foot multilevel scenario house, multipurpose classroom and full-tactical firing range.
It will be the most comprehensive indoor training facility in the country, Merritt said.
“The building’s prime location near Washington, D.C., and Dulles Airport makes this an ideal site for a leading company that specializes in security training for government agencies,” Robb Merritt, vice president of Merritt, said in a statement.
