Cake from Trump’s 2005 wedding goes up for auction

A souvenir wedding cake from President Trump and first lady Melania Trump’s 2005 nuptials has been listed as an item for sale by California-based Julien’s Auctions.

“The individual chocolate truffle cake with a single white frosting rose on top was a wedding favor to be taken home by guests,” a catalogue for the auction house specializing in entertainment memorabilia reads.

“The actual seven-tier wedding cake reportedly cost $50,000 and was not eaten by the wedding guests due to the amount of wire used to make it stand,” the listing continues.

The first couple were married in the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach, Fla., in 2005 after getting engaged in 2004. Their reception was held at Mar-a-Lago.

Bidding on the cake closes on Nov. 17. The highest offer received so far is $600.
