Former President Barack Obama will join Democratic New Jersey gubernatorial candidate Mikie Sherrill at a rally in Newark, New Jersey on Saturday.
Sherrill’s is neck and neck against Republican Jack Ciattarelli according to polls, making an upset possible in the blue state.

The Real Clear Politics polling average has Sherrill up only 3.3 points on Ciattarelli, a state former Vice President Kamala Harris won by 5.91% in the 2024 election, when Democrats lost the popular vote for the first time since 2004.
Several New Jersey Democrats have endorsed Ciattarelli for governor, including North Bergen Mayor Nick Sacco, Dover Mayor Jim Dodd, and Garfield Mayor Everett Garnto Jr.
