WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House says Vice President Joe Biden is visiting patients injured Monday in a mass shooting at the Washington Navy Yard.

Biden arrived Wednesday evening at the MedStar Washington Hospital Center. That’s where a police officer who was shot in the leg and a woman shot in the shoulder are being treated. The hospital says both are improving and are now in good condition. A third patient at the hospital whose skull was grazed by a bullet was released Tuesday.
