Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) believes the tent of the Democratic Party is so large that it should include the newly Trump-rebuffed Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).
Raskin made the remark at the 2025 Blue Bash Brunch Democratic fundraiser in Miami.
“We are a big tent. We must be a huge, vast tent. I say this is a party that’s got room for Marjorie Taylor Greene if she wants to come over,” he said, withstanding a shower of light boos.

Greene recently distanced herself from President Donald Trump after he publicly rescinded his support and endorsement of her as she continues her charge to release the Jeffrey Epstein files. She said she “doesn’t worship or serve Donald Trump.”
She also questioned the president’s prior fight against the files’ release. “It’s astonishing really how hard he’s fighting to stop the Epstein files from coming out that he actually goes to this level,” she wrote on X.
Her public fight with the president drew some sympathy from other Democrats.
“This almost feels like a moment where Marge should phone a friend… I’m here for you girl… I told you not to trust him… all he cares about is HIMself (and protecting pedos) he never loved you,” Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), who once said Greene had a “bleach blonde, bad built, butch body,” wrote on X.
“My granny always said ‘be with the man that loves you more than you love him.’ Trust me, sis, you are better off without him. The GWORLS are fighting!” she concluded.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) said Greene was “crushing Donald Trump right now.”
“Thank you for your attention to this matter,” he added.

After their feud, the president has started calling the congresswoman “Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Greene” and making comments that disregard her public fear of incoming threats.
“I don’t think her life is in danger,” he added about recent threats to her life. “I don’t think. Frankly, I don’t think anybody cares about her.”
