House Republicans will huddle on tax reform at a retreat next week, GOP aides said Thursday.
The time, location and other details have not been disclosed yet but the topic is critical. Republicans plan to begin consideration of tax reform legislation in October and will disclose an outline of their plan next week.
The retreat will last about half a day, GOP conference committee spokesman Nate Hodson said.
“Tax reform is the most important thing we can do right now to help American families get ahead, and as we move forward we want to make sure members have ample opportunity to talk through our framework, ask questions, and offer feedback,” Hodson said.
