Former President George H.W. Bush wore socks Monday that sported a picture of his successor Bill Clinton during a visit with the 42nd president.
“Special visit today with a great friend — and now, a best-selling author. Luckily I had a freshly laundered pair of @BillClinton socks to mark the occasion,” Bush tweeted.

Clinton gifted his predecessor, who is known for his large collection of themed socks, two pairs of whimsical socks last year during one of their visits.
Great to spend time with @GeorgeHWBush & Mrs. Bush in Houston today. We caught up about kids, grandkids, old times and new times. And socks. pic.twitter.com/CshV6tI5Ae

The 41st president’s socks, which are navy blue and depict Clinton, are still for sale on DSW’s website.
