The new Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle’s father said Prince Harry told him to give President Trump “a chance.”
“I sort of disagreed with that, but I still like Harry. That’s his politics, I had my politics,” Thomas Markle told “Good Morning Britain” Monday, according to Yahoo.
When asked if the comment led him to believe that his new son-in-law, who is expected to mostly remain apolitical, was a Trump fan, Markle said, “I would hope not, now.”
Markle also opened up about missing his daughter’s wedding, saying he was “very upset,” but couldn’t think of a better replacement than Prince Charles, who walked Meghan partway down the aisle in her father’s absence.
“The unfortunate thing for me now is I’m a footnote in one of the greatest moments in history rather than the dad walking her down the aisle,” Markel said. “That upsets me somewhat.”
