Fox News announced on Wednesday that Jeanine Pirro will become a permanent co-host on The Five.
Pirro will give up her weekend show, Justice with Judge Jeanine, but will continue hosting Castles USA on Fox Nation. The company said it will announce a replacement for her weekend show “at a later date.”
“The Five continues to be a beloved show by the American audience,” Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott said. “Each of the co-hosts are accomplished and insightful talent with diverse opinions and terrific chemistry who will certainly help drive this ensemble program going forward.”

Pirro, who would often fill in as a guest host after regular Kimberly Guilfoyle’s departure, will join Dana Perino, Greg Gutfeld, and Jesse Watters as permanent hosts of the show. The liberal slot will continue to rotate among Geraldo Rivera, Harold Ford Jr., and Jessica Tarlov.
During the fourth quarter of 2021, The Five became the first non-prime-time cable news show to finish a quarter with the highest cable news ratings. The show averaged 3.3 million viewers per day, topping all other cable news shows in total viewers that quarter, including Tucker Carlson Tonight.
Pirro joined Fox News in 2006. She previously served as a judge in the Westchester County Court in the early 1990s and as the first female district attorney of Westchester County.
