A convicted sex offender in Utah was taken into custody Saturday after he allegedly answered the door to trick-or-treaters nude and invited the children into his home for “candy,” authorities said.
Steven Little, 48, was arrested and charged with five counts of lewdness and three counts of lewdness involving a child, police said.
Little was on probation for lewdness involving a child when a group of trick-or-treaters came to his house around 6:52 p.m., according to authorities.

Little opened the door naked and invited the children inside, said Provo Police Master Officer Austin Williams.
The children left the house and returned with a parent, who knocked on the door and was greeted by the naked sex offender, police said.
“He opened the door again nude,” Williams said.
The father of one of the trick-or-treaters reportedly told Little to shut off his lights and not open his door to any more children, he added. Then the father called the police.
One child filmed the incident, investigators said.
At least five children older than 14 and three younger than 14 saw Little naked, according to an affidavit.
Each of the children associated with the incident said they were exposed to Little’s genitalia, police said.

“When questioned about why he answered the door nude, he said he had just got out of the shower and that’s why he was nude. And they said, ‘Why did you ask the kids inside?’ And he said that’s where the candy was,” Williams said.
