Former Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer criticized Hillary Clinton for how her campaign has attempted to appeal to women voters by playing and selling the “women card” in its online store.
The Republican governor and Donald Trump supporter shared new details about her interview with CNN host Jake Tapper earlier in the day, in which she had said “this woman thing has gotten way out of control.”
“Every time we hear the left … it’s all about that Mr. Trump can’t get the women’s vote,” Brewer said on Alan Colmes’ radio program Monday. “Well, women don’t just vote because you’re a woman … they’re interested in all those other issues.”
Brewer bashed Clinton for trying to woo voters because of her identity as a woman.
“I certainly wouldn’t have put out a Brewer card and make people pay a dollar for it,” Brewer added.
The Trump surrogate also said she would be willing to serve in a Trump administration if the presumptive GOP nominee called on her.
“You know I’m on his team. He has got the will of the people behind him and of course I would be ready. I’d be willing to serve Mr. Trump in any capacity that he would want me to serve in,” Brewer said.
