Loose Lips pro tempore Jason Cherkis reacts to our latest on the Joyner shooting and thinks Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton is late to the party.
“LL wonders where Norton has been on the issue of police shootings before the Joyner case,” Cherkis writes. “It would have been nice to see Norton stand up for David Kerstetter.”
Kerstetter was the mentally ill man who shot by police in his bathroom in the upscale Iowa building in 2008.
Cherkis said at the time it was an unjust kill.
Norton says that Joyner’s death is the first time federal police have killed a Washingtonian and therefore it’s a unique case.
