However, Trudeau may be casting stones while living in a glass house as his own problematic past resurfaces.
In 2019, it was revealed that the prime minister had worn blackface several times in the past, with pictures and video of three known instances emerging in reports. Trudeau acknowledged and apologized for conducting the past racist behavior.

“Darkening your face, regardless of the context or the circumstances, is always unacceptable because of the racist history of blackface,” Trudeau told reporters. “I should have understood that then, and I never should have done it.”
Another controversial moment from Trudeau, a clip of the politician praising communist China for its “basic dictatorship” allowing them to convert to a green economy, recently made rounds on social media as well.

“There’s a level of admiration I actually have for China because their basic dictatorship is allowing them to actually turn their economy around on a dime and say, ‘We need to go green. … We need to start investing in solar,’” he told a crowd during a fundraising event in 2013.
