In the home where the woman was killed, her husband was injured after the shooter threw an object at him, WMC reported. He said he did not know the attacker.

The suspect, 52-year-old Richard Dale Crum, was found in his vehicle and arrested without incident.

Gov. Tate Reeves (R) said in a statement that Crum is believed to have acted alone.

“The individual responsible has been taken into custody alive. At this time, we believe he acted alone. His motive is not yet known,” he said.
