Former President George H.W. Bush is back in the hospital, his spokesman said Tuesday.
Bush was admitted to Houston Methodist Hospital on Friday “for observation due to a persistent cough that prevented him from getting proper rest” and was diagnosed with pneumonia, Bush family spokesman Jim McGrath said.
McGrath said the pneumonia has been resolved, and that Bush is “in very good spirits and is being held for further observation while he regains his strength.”
Bush, 92, was hospitalized for nearly two weeks with pneumonia in January, forcing him to miss President Trump’s inauguration.
Nevertheless, just days after being released, he and former first lady Barbara Bush appeared at the Super Bowl to perform the ceremonial coin toss.
