Sidney Powell has been temporarily suspended from Twitter following a White House memo saying she is not a part of President Trump’s official legal team.
Gen. Michael Flynn, Trump’s national security adviser, said Powell is suspended for 12 hours from the platform, adding that she understands the recent White House memo.
“She is staying the course to prove the massive deliberate election fraud that robbed #WeThePeople of our votes for President Trump & other Republican candidates,” Flynn said.

Powell, who has been spreading unproven theories of widespread election fraud, came under scrutiny by Trump’s legal team on Sunday when they announced she had no direct role in their legal affairs, where they are contesting the election results in several key battleground states. She has also represented Flynn since last summer in his case after he pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI.
“Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own,” said Trump personal attorney Rudy Giuliani and Trump campaign counsel Jenna Ellis. “She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team. She is also not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity.”
Powell has often appeared next to Ellis and Giuliani in press conferences and has been alluded to as being part of the official team by Trump and others.
The lawyer later said she understood the press release, and she will continue representing Trump voters in her efforts.
“The chips will fall where they may, and we will defend the foundations of this great Republican,” Powell said.
Sources close to the president told the Washington Examiner neither the White House nor the Trump campaign have seen any of the evidence she claims to have related to assertions about voting machines switching millions of votes from Trump to President-elect Joe Biden.
Powell has asserted a claim that Dominion Voting Systems at the center of several of the litigation was created “at the direction” of the late Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez to steal elections, and that the machines can change a certain percentage of votes from Trump to Biden.
Dominion spokesman Michael Steel discredited allegations that the voting systems were in some way rigged, telling Fox News on Sunday that the assertion was in a “realm of conspiracies so dark” he has “no idea” what they’re talking about.
“I have not yet heard a claim that is in any way legitimate that would substantially alter, or alter, a single vote, no,” Steel said.
Biden was declared the winner of the election by multiple media outlets over two weeks ago, and Trump has yet to concede. The Trump campaign has been fighting legal battles in several states over allegations of voter fraud.
