George Washington University may be hosting President Obama’s latest town hall Tuesday night, but few GW students and faculty members will be participating in the event.
Only 20 tickets will be split among GW students and professors. All students attending will be first time voters selected from the Guide to Personal Success program, and professors were selected by the political science department.
University representatives will be far outnumbered by the 100 other attendees arranged by Organizing for America, the Democratic National Committee’s community organizing group.
The town hall is the third of the president’s “Moving America Forward” events prior to the midterm election.
